The department of Mathematics was established in 2009. This department is the integral part of Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Renapur, Dist-Latur. In this rural college, there are many students who have been learning Mathematics as their optional subject in science faculty. The department has two faculty-members Dr. Raut D. K (Head and Assistant Professor), Mr. Thenge A. B. (Assistant Professor). Mathematics is one of the major subjects in natural sciences. At the Degree level, we give brief idea about different branches of Mathematics like Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research etc. During these three years students are familiar with different techniques of mathematics and software’s they perform the assigned practical work in the laboratory with these software’s. Our department actively motivates to the students, participates in Research activity like (AVISKAR, Madhava Mathematics Competition exam, Science Exhibitions etc.) Our department takes extra efforts for slow learners and always tries for overall development of all students.
