About Library Department
Shivaji Mahavidyalaya library and Information Centre is set up in July 1992. Separate library building is spacious and measuring over 1600 sq. ft. with reading hall having seating capacity of 30 students. The library has well balanced collection. Presently, the library has total documents collection of 12943 comprising 6168 books, 17 periodicals including national & international print journals, essential 09 newspapers and few CDs and cassettes.
Library Mission
To facilitate convenient and user friendly access to current, global and relevant information by identifying, acquiring, organizing and retrieving information in various formats (print & non print) to serve the information needs of the academic fraternity of Shivaji Mahavidyalaya Renapur to meet their teaching, research, consulting, training and learning requirements

Working days and Opening hours
- The library remains open throughout the year except on days notified as holidays.
- The library opens at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 4:30 p.m. on all working days.

Rules & Ethics For Students
- In order to become a member of the Library. The library membership from should be filled up in time and submitted in the Library.
- After getting the duly filled-up forms, the borrowers name will be registered in the soul software.
- Reference books will not be issued for reading at home. They will be read in the Library.
- Students should ask for books by showing their identity cards. A student should be in possession of his / her identity card before entering the Library.
- Books taken for reading at home should be returned on the date mentioned on the given on the due date slip or before the stipulated time period. The time-limit may be extended in appropriate conditions, subject to the decision of the Librarian.
- Students should return the books on the given date. Otherwise they will have to pay the overdue charge 1Rs per day.
- The Responsibility regarding the books taken to read at home will be on the students.
- The Librarian can ask any user to return the book, taken by him / her at any time
- Readers shall be responsible for any damage or injury done to the books or other property belonging to the Library, and shall be required to replace such books, or other property damaged or injured or pay the value there of.
- The Library Attendant at the entrance is authorized to examine ever reader any time.
